Dina Sue Tharp, 64, of Louisville, passed away Tuesday, September 15, 2015. She was born December 13, 1950 in Louisville where she lived her entire life.

She is survived by her parents, Jim and Derita Tharp; brother Kerry Tharp; sister-in-law Debbie Tharp; nephews J.B. Tharp (wife Catherine) and Will Tharp; and great nephews Coleman and Joshua Tharp.

Dina was a 1972 graduate of Western Kentucky University. She worked more than 30 years for the State of Kentucky as a Systems Analyst. She loved the beach, she loved to travel and cook, she loved her U of L Cardinals, she loved her family and friends and she loved her Lord.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Friday, September 18 at Highland Funeral Home (3331 Taylorsville Road) and again Saturday from 10-11 at Highlands. A funeral service to celebrate Dina’s life will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Sligo (Ky.) Baptist Church cemetery.

The family would like to thank all of her loyal friends that meant so much to her. The family would also like to thank the medical and nursing staffs at Norton Hospital for their personal care.
