Obituary for Virginia ""Ginger"" Hines (Ribbens)

HINES, Virginia “Ginger”, 64, of Louisville, passed away Sunday, May 8, 2016 at Baptist Health Louisville.

Born in Holland, Michigan, the former Ginger Ribbens worked in Customer Service for Orr Safety Corporation, was a member of Walnut Street Baptist Church and was an avid baseball fan-especially the Chicago Cubs.

She was preceded in death by her father, Elmer Ribbens.

Ginger is survived by her loving husband of 23 years, Perry Hines; mother, Dorothy Ribbens; son, Darren Van Wyk (Kristin); step-daughter, Fabienne Meyer –Pohl; siblings, Linda Buteyn (Randy), Cynthia Howarda (Jim), Karen Bocks, David Ribbens (Deborah) and Dale Ribbens (Kris); 3 grandchildren, Kinnick, Kyndall and Kynslee Van Wyn of Sully, Iowa ; and a loving extended family.

Her funeral service will be at 10 am on Friday, May 13, 2016 at Walnut Street Baptist Church, 1101 S. 3rd Street, with burial to follow in Resthaven Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-8 pm Thursday at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road.
