Ours is not just any funeral home.

The Owen and Wagner families, along with our devoted staff, proudly embrace traditional values, diversity and innovation in honoring the life of each person we serve.

Highlands Funeral Home was founded in 1959 by six Louisville funeral directors. They came together as partners and opened our funeral home to serve families in this once-outlying area of Louisville, which is now the center of the city.

We are located off I-264 at the corner of Taylorsville Road and Dutchmans Lane, directly across the street from our nation's oldest airport, Bowman Field.

Our families have over 200 years of experience in funeral service, and remain committed to the traditions and mission of Highlands Funeral Home.

Highlands Funeral Home

offers a selection of:

  • Traditional and contemporary burial and cremation options

  • Memorial and funeral ceremony options honoring a broad spectrum of every family's needs and wishes

  • Natural choices, including environmentally conscious options such as cremation caskets and containers, biodegradable urns for scattering or burial of ashes, bio urns and tree planting

"Above and beyond" is not a special circumstance.

It's what we do every day.

We are committed to:

  • Offering goods and services to suit your needs and meet your budget.

  • Creating a fitting memorial or funeral service that honors all facets of your loved one's life.
