Obituary for Robert "Robbie" Neale Deddens

67, of Louisville recently passed away.



Robbie was retired and had previously worked at Rexnord, U.S. Army Ammunition Plant, U.S. Census Bureau and UPS in a number of different capacities. As a boy, he attended the Louisville Deaf Oral School and later the Central Institute for the Deaf in St. Louis, Missouri. Robbie is a 1971 graduate of DuPont Manual High School and in 1973 earned an Associate Degree in Industrial & Mechanical Drafting from the Community College of Denver. He was a regular attendee of HLAA Kentuckiana since 2000.



He was preceded in death by his parents, Kennth J. & Alice R. Deddens; sister, Dr. Mary Kenna “Kenni” Deddens; and brother, Richard J. “Dickie” Deddens.



Robbie is survived by his brother, Randy Deddens (Bev); niece, Kristin Sommer; nephew, Charles “Chip” Sommer (Tara); niece, McKenna Tate Deddens; great niece, Adalin; and great nephew, Obediah. He is also survived by his former sister-in-law, Mona McCubbin.



There will be no public services.



Expression of sympathy may be made to the Heuser Hearing Institute or the National Institute of Mental Health.
