Obituary for Odea L. Carter

CARTER, Odea L., 86, a resident of the Atria at Stonybrook, passed away Friday, October 1, 2010 at Baptist Hospital East. Born in Breckenridge County, he was a Navy veteran of WW II, a retired electrician from Ford Motor Company, and a member of Buechel Park Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lois Houchin Carter, 4 sisters, and a daughter, Sandra Brown. He is survived by his daughters, Martha Hanley (Ron), Sharon Collinsworth (Bob), and Pamela Jeffries (Rick); son, Mark Carter (Linda); 9 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. His service will be at 11 am Monday, October 4, 2010 at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd. with burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-7 pm Sunday at Highlands. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Alzheimers Association.
