FISCHER, DENISE BAYENS, 82, of Louisville passed away Friday, November 5, 2010 at Baptist Hospital East.
Born in Louisville, she was a member of the Little Sisters of the Poor Auxiliary and the Altar Society at her church, Our Lady of Lourdes.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Charles B. Fischer; her children, Marci Bland (Mike), Charlie M. Fischer, Mary D. Stoll (Oscar), Jerry D. Fischer (Anne), Meg Stone (Russ), Ken R. Fischer (Brenda- deceased) and Patty Phelps (Larry); brothers, Bertrand, James and Jerome Bayens; sister, Dolly Bowlds; and 10 grandchildren.
Her funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 508 Breckenridge Lane, with burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. Monday at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road.
