PARIS, JOHN NELSON, 78, of Louisville, passed away Thursday, December 16, 2010 at Baptist Hospital East.
Born in Montour Falls, NY, he was an Army Air Corps veteran of the Korean War and a retired maintenance and truck driver for Payless Oil in Tampa, FL. He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Vera Mae Bracken.
He is survived by his son, John Nelson Paris III (Christine); daughters, Vera Ellen McClain (Johnnie "Pete"), Joyce Annette Nowers (Larry Alan), Kathleen Suzanne Jones (David) and Penny Lawroski (David); honorary son, James A. Paris Jr.; sister, Shirley A. Bellows; 16 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held by the family at a later date. Highlands Family-Owned Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
