TIPTON, DAVID T., 70, of Louisville, passed away Saturday, January 4, 2014. He was a library information specialist at Spalding University. Mr. Tipton was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Virginia Tipton. He is survived by his son, Geoffrey Tipton (Gwen); grandchildren, Rachel, Rebecca and Anna Tipton; sister, Paula J. Callahan (Steve); niece, Stephanie Kelly (Patrick); and great nephew, Shane Wesley Callahan. Mr. Tipton was a poet, a lover of literature and a greatly loved father and brother. Visitation will be Friday after 10 a.m. until his service at 1 p.m. at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road, with burial in Resthaven Memorial Park.
