Obituary for Aline Liebert (Tobe)
Aline Tobe Liebert of Louisville, KY, passed away peacefully on June 24, 2018, surrounded by her family. She was born on January 16, 1932, in Fort Worth, TX, the Daughter of Henry F. Tobe and Berneatha (Disselkamp) Tobe.
Aline is survived by her husband of 65 years, Elmer J. Liebert, daughter Karen Liebert of Albany, GA (and her husband Doug), son Tobe Liebert of Los Angeles, CA (and wife June), grandson Ian Porter of Atlanta, GA, granddaughters Sophia and Hana Liebert of Los Angeles, CA, brother Larry Tobe of Tallahassee, FL and brother Henry “Buz” Tobe (and wife Carol) of Floyds Knobs, IN.
Aline was a 1949 graduate of J.M. Atherton High School for girls, and attended the University of Louisville. Before she was married, she worked for WHAS, and in later years worked at the Preservation Alliance and Converse & Co. Aline enjoyed her volunteer work for the Louisville Historical League and the Louisville Zoo.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 28, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road, Louisville, Ky. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hosparus Health (hosparushealth.org).
