Al passed away at his home (Magnolia Springs East) on April 13, 2022 at 102 years old. He was born in Louisville, on March 20, 1920 to Allen G. Stephens, Sr. and Mary Stephens. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Val, married for 70 years. Al was an Officer and pilot in the Army Air Corp proudly serving his country in WWII and flying missions before being shot down in the fall of 1944. Al spent 3 decades at WAVE TV in Louisville. He was an avid golfer (with 2 Aces, witnessed by his 2 sons, plus shot his age multiple times). He was a pilot and best friend to many.

Left to cherish his memory are his three children, Allen III, Barbara (Jim) and David (Terry), 7 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, his brother, Larry and many nieces and nephews. He will be missed and always in our hearts.
Visitation will be Monday, April 18th from 12pm-1:30pm. There will be a private graveside service.
