FRANCONIA, AUSTIN LEE, 23, left this earth to be with his brother, Gary, on Wednesday, January 13, 2009.
Austin was a 2005 graduate of Trinity High School. He worked with his dad and brother at Dixie Haulers and Derby City Truck Repair.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Clifford and Frances Baldwin, John B. and Marie Franconia; and his brother Gary Franconia.
Austin is survived by his parents, Jerry and Vicki Franconia; brother, Ryan (Emily), and nephew Gray Hudson Franconia. He was also loved by several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
His funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. on Monday, January 18, 2010 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 7813 Shelbyville Rd., with burial in Calvary Cemetery.
Austin's visitation and celebration of life will be from 5-8 p.m. on Saturday, and from 1-8 p.m. Sunday at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd.
Memorial gifts may take the form of contributions to the Jordan Mudd Scholarship Fund c/o the family in Austin's memory.
