Bartley
Barbara Ann, 81, of Louisville, passed away peacefully in her sleep on February 8th, 2018.
Barbara was born in Metcalf County to Robert and Christine Fields on January 2, 1937. She married Rondal Bartley on December 22, 1954. In her early career, Barbra was a skilled beautician. In the years following, Barbara worked alongside her beloved husband Rondal in the restaurant business. Later in life, Barbara retired as a Walmart Associate. She was a remarkable seamstress and known for her exceptional needlework but Barbara’s real passion was for her grandchildren. She delighted in sending them “special packages” throughout their childhood.
Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Christine Fields; son, Tom Bartley (Regan, who survives him); and brother, Sonny Fields.
Barbara is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Rondal; sister, Betty (Ed, deceased) Eagle; son, Michael (Marie); grandchildren, Chris, Ryan, and Renee (Matt) Stepnick; one great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to extend extreme gratitude to the entire staff at Friendship Health and Rehabilitation, Pewee Valley, KY and Hosparus Health of Louisville for the loving care, special concern, and lasting companionship given to Barbra and her family during her stay. God blessed our family with all of you.
Her funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd. with burial to follow in Louisville Memorial Gardens West Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3-7 p.m. Monday at Highlands.
