Obituary for Barbara Mulloy Tichenor
Barbara Mulloy Tichenor, 90, of Louisville, passed away April 11, 2023, with her loving family at her side.
Barbara was preceded in death by her husband and best friend of 69 years, John A. Tichenor, Jr. (“Buck”); by her parents, Joseph P. and Louise Mulloy; brother, Robert Mulloy; sister-in-law, JoAnn Mulloy; sister, Patricia Heuglin; brother-in-law, William Heuglin; brother, William P. Mulloy; sister-in-law, Rose Mary Tichenor; and brother-in-law, Charles Tichenor.
She is survived by her three children, Diane Richards (Rick) of Louisville, John Tichenor, III (Martha) of Edmond, OK, and Paul Tichenor (Claire) of Louisville; five grandsons, Stephen Richards (Jillian), Andy Richards (Elizabeth), Miles and Noah Tichenor, and John A Tichenor, IV (“Jack”); brothers, Joseph Mulloy (Karen) of Chagrin Falls, OH; Michael Mulloy (Linda), of Springfield, VA; and sister-in-law, Martha Tichenor of Louisville; four great-grandsons, and many loving nieces, nephews and friends.
Barbara graduated from Presentation Academy in 1950. She was a member of St. Raphael the Archangel Catholic Church and member of the Serafun Club of St. Raphael; Bellarmine Women’s Club, Queen’s Daughters, Ladies of Serra, and the Delta Da Mes. Above all, she cherished her calling as a wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Her visitation is scheduled for Friday, April 14, 2023, 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 15, 2023 at St. Raphael the Archangel Church, 2141 Lancashire Avenue, with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to St. Vincent de Paul of St. Raphael Church, the Presentation Academy Scholarship Fund or Boys Haven.
