Bernard W. “Ben” Schoenbachler, 98, of Louisville, passed away on Wednesday, October, 31st, 2018. Ben was a proud U.S. Army Veteran of World War II, as well a proud graduate of Dupont Manual High School. He was retired from General Electric as a Design Engineer. He was of the Catholic Faith and he was a KY Colonel.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bernard and Anne Schoenbachler and one brother, Howard Schoenbachler.
Ben is survived by his Loving wife of 71 years, Helen Schoenbachler, one daughter, Anita Parrish (Dan), two sons, Bruce Schoenbachler and Tom Schoenbachler (Donna), 8 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and one sister, Anna Mae Hillerich.
Visitation will be Sunday, November 4th, from 3-7PM, at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd. His Funeral Mass will be Monday at Noon at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1406 E Washington St, Louisville, KY.
