Betty Jo Moriarty Dillon, 84, of Louisville, died peacefully Wednesday, September 26, 2018, surrounded by her beloved family.

She was born Betty Jo Dyson in Bloomington, IL, to the late George W. and Helen Leslie Dyson, graduated from Bloomington High School, and worked as a secretary for General Electric in her hometown. She was also a devoted homemaker and a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, William T. Moriarty, Jr.; and a brother, John P. Dyson.

She is survived by her husband, William P. Dillon; her children, Steven T. Moriarty (Kathy), James T. Moriarty (Cheri), John F. Moriarty (Paula), Nancy Moriarty Hassan Klefot (Michael), Janet Moriarty Mills (Jeffry), David P. Dillon (Madi), Kevin J. Dillon, Michael E. Dillon (Ellen), and Laura Dillon Weinrauch (Michael); her brothers, George W. Dyson, Jr. and Loren R. Dyson (Kathie); her sisters, Donna M. Dyson and Sandra J. Dyson Ferrell; 13 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Her funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 AM on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 1920 Newburg Rd., with burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4-8 PM Monday at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd.
