Obituary for Betty Morgan (Sohlke)
MORGAN, BETTY SOHLKE, 85, of Louisville, left her earthly life on July 20, 2022, with her wonderful, loving family around her.
Born in Louisville to the late Henry and Zanah Sohlke, Betty was a graduate of duPont Manual High School and was the executive secretary to the president (her husband, Ben) at Dairymen, Inc. She was a member of St Andrew United Church of Christ and Hurstbourne Country Club. She was also an avid tennis player and had a special love for animals. Her family and friends will forever remember her generosity, kindness, and sweetness.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Ben F. Morgan, Jr.; and her brother, Johnnie E. Stormes.
She is survived by her son, Robert B. Morgan (Darlene); identical twin sister and soulmate, Dee Sullivan; 6 nieces and nephews; 12 great-nieces and nephews; 25 great-great-nieces and nephews; and one great-great-great-niece (with one on the way).
Her funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday, July 25, 2022 at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd., 40205, with burial to follow in Cave Hill Cemetery. Visitation for Betty will be held Sunday, 3 p.m. - 8 p.m., at Highlands.
