Obituary for Brenda Hosbach
Brenda (Hoffman) Hosbach, 80, resident of Louisville, KY passed away on December 13, 2022, with family by her side. Brenda grew up in Morganfield, KY. Always energetic and competitive in nature, by age 12, she was working the counter at B&H Hamburgers and later became the star Majorette at Morganfield High School. After attending Austin Peay University, she married her high school sweetheart, Sam Hosbach.
Brenda’s career began at Bell South in Bowling Green KY, while her husband continued his education. Sam and Brenda moved to Louisville where he taught high school and coached basketball, while Brenda pursued a successful professional career of management and quality control at the United States Postal Service.
Brenda was ahead of her time with a full-time professional career and a deep dedication to raising an amazing family. She loved basketball, entertaining and was always open to having guests, whether at her home in Iroquois Park, or their lake house on Nolin Lake.
Brenda’s love of family was unparalleled. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Sam Hosbach. Brenda is survived by three children, Laura Hosbach, Holly Dukes, and Luke Hosbach (Terri); grandchildren, Samantha Dukes, Darrin (Kaylin) Dukes, Haley Aldridge Linderman (Alex), Sam Hosbach, Carol-Ann Hosbach; great-grandchildren, Jackson Way and Jonah Dukes.
Visitation in the celebration of Brenda’s life will be held at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road, Louisville, KY 40205 on December 20, 2022, 4:00pm – 8:00pm. Burial will be in Waverly, KY at a later date.
