Byron Kenton “Buddy” Rush, 76, of Louisville passed away Tuesday, October 2, 2018. He was born in Summer Shade, KY January 20, 1942, the son of Ralph Kenton Rush and Maymie Brooks Rush. Byron was a member of Cedar Springs Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Charles Rush and Talmadage Rush and sister, Patricia Rush.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Suzanne Glover Rush; sons, Byron Bruce Rush (Tonya) of Burlington, North Carolina and Nathan Todd Rush (Carla) of Louisville, KY; grandchildren, Hillary Schickel (Will), Madeline, Trenton and Carson Rush; great-grandchild, Riley Shickel; brother, Ancel Rush (Jolene) ; sisters, Lena Margaret Dickerson, Mary Stephens (Jerry) and Pansy Sue Romines, and sisters-in-law, Marine Rush and Ella Rush.

His funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 4, 2018 at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd. with visitation from 11:00 a.m. until the time of his service Thursday at Highlands.

His burial will be at Rush Family Cemetery, Summer Shade, KY at 11:00 a.m. CT Friday.
