Obituary for Carol Ann Habeeb (Butler)
Carol Butler Habeeb, born May 3rd, 1951, in Louisville, Kentucky, died in her home surrounded by family on Sunday March 5th, 2023, in Louisville, Kentucky. Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Frederick Stewart and Agnus Steiger Butler, her sisters Nancy Lindsay and Pam Butler. Carol is survived by her husband of 51 years, Joseph Richard Habeeb; her children, Jennifer Bell, Bradley Habeeb, and Brian Habeeb; her grandchildren, Samuel Bell, Seth Bell, Corbin Bell, and Lilia Habeeb.
Whether you called her your wife, mom, daughter, sister, friend, aunt, cousin, colleague, Mrs. Habeeb, Carol Baby, Curl, or simply Carol, to know her was a gift. She modeled the importance of spreading love. She had a natural way of making you feel comfortable, heard, and welcome. She loved to laugh, talk, dance, teach, grammar, art, debate and listen. Quick with a silly joke or sage advice and forever young at heart, she touched so many lives.
Thank you for all the laughs, always making us feel loved, all the lessons learned, the hand holding, dancing, hugs, being our bright light who always provided warmth and most importantly, thank you for being you. We are so lucky to have shared you in our lives and you will forever be missed.
Visitation will be held at Highlands Funeral Home on Friday, March 10th, from 4 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 11th, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., also at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd, Louisville, KY 40205. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Hosparus Health of Louisville at hosparushealth.org/donate/ or by calling 1-800-HOSPICE.
