Carol (Hubbard) Williams, age 90, of Pleasant Hills, PA, passed away on August 7, surrounded by the love of her large family: Wayne (Pat) Williams, Nancy Galbraith, Lisa (Ted) Miller, Laura (Richard) Beattie, Victor F. (Rhonda) Williams III, Linda Zeigler, Andrew (Shannon) Williams; 28 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Carol was predeceased by her husband, Frank Williams, and their son, Matthew; parents, Clyde and Gertrude Fischer Hubbard; and brothers, Richard Hubbard and Rodger Hubbard.
Born in Louisville, she attended U of L and was a lifelong Cardinal fan. She and Frank made homes for their family in Kentucky, Pittsburgh, New Jersey, and Milan, Italy. Aside from delighting in her family, she enjoyed travel, volunteering, tennis (well into her 80s), her church (Prince of Peace Lutheran), bridge, gardening, reading, and crossword puzzles. Carol was an artist, completing more than 75 oil paintings for family and friends, and for exhibition in several shows.
Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood, PA, 15227, on Thursday August 11, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of her funeral service in the chapel at 2:00 p.m.
Visitation will continue at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd., Louisville on Friday August 12, 2022, from 6-8 p.m. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on August 13, 2022 at Resthaven Memorial Parl Cemetery, Bardstown Road, in Louisville.
