Obituary for Cary James Creson II

CRESON II, Cary, 30, passed away at his home on Thursday, August 1 2013.

Cary attended St. Mary High School in Paducah, KY and graduated from Murray State University. For the past five years he has worked for the American Red Cross. He described his co-workers as "the most supportive people you could ever meet".

Cary is survived by his father Cary "Butch" Creson and companion Rebecca Robinson; his mother Melinda Gallagher and stepfather Mike Gallagher; sister Katie Creson (Jeff Barr); brother Michael Paul Creson; nephew Jackson Tyler Barr; stepbrother Shawn Gallagher (Teresa Gallagher); his dog Layla; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

His funeral service will be at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, August 5, at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road. Visitation will be on Monday from 11:00 until time of service.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to the American Red Cross or the KY Humane Society.

No words can describe the loss of our son, brother, and best friend. Cary will forever be remembered for his gentle spirit, his quick wit, and that low beautiful voice. He loved his family, his friends, and his constant companion Layla. And though cancer took his life, it did not dampen his spirit. Cary taught us all how to live with kindness, courage, and integrity. We will never forget Cary riding his bike, playing his guitar, and "frolicking" with friends.

So many people said, "Tell Cary he's my hero"...He will always be our hero. Nothing will ever be the same but we will never lose what we hold in our hearts.
