Obituary for Charles R. Drexler, Sr.
Charles R. Drexler, Sr., 92, passed away March 11, 2022.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Margaret Drexler; and siblings, Michael, Mary Kessler, Vincent, Catherine Willis, John, Joseph, Elizabeth Spalding, Loretta Wulf, and Thomas.
He was a graduate of Ahrens Trade School, a Korean War veteran, the founder of Variety Sheet Metal, Inc., and a member of American Legion Post 201. Charlie dearly loved God, family, and country.
He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia; children, Charles Drexler, Jr., Beverly Bennett (Jim), Julie Eckerle (Steve), and Timothy (Angela); eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; brother, Tony; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00am on Thursday, March 17, 2022, at St. John Paul II Catholic Church, 3539 Goldsmith Ln, followed by entombment in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be 2:00-8:00pm on Wednesday, March 16, at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd. The family requests that masks be worn during the visitation and service.
