Obituary for Charles J. Fackler

Charles John Fackler, 73, of Louisville, passed away peacefully Sunday, August 16, 2020, at the Hosparus Health Inpatient Care Center. Charlie was born September 12, 1946 to the late John C. and Marie Fackler.

Charlie is survived by his wife of 50 years, Pamela S. Fackler; three children, John, Jeffrey (Lisa), and Jill Guthrie; and four grandchildren. He was a member of Southeast Christian Church and involved in Boy Scout Troop 40 for many years as an assistant scout master. Charlie was a member of the National Model Railroader Assoc., the K & I Model Railroad Club, and the L & N Historical Society. He was an accomplished Master Model Railroader.

Visitation will be from 4 pm to 7 pm on Friday, August 21, 2020 at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road,
Louisville, KY 40205.

A celebration of Charlie’s life will be held at 11 am at the funeral home with visitation an hour before the service on Saturday, August 22, 2020 at Highlands Funeral Home. Burial will be at Resthaven Memorial Park. Final words and military salute will be held at noon at the Pavilion at Resthaven.

The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and CNAs at the Inpatient Care Center for their dedication to the living at end of life and especially for the care that Charlie/Dad/Papaw received.
