Obituary for Charles Alvin Jones
Charles Alvin Jones passed away peacefully on July 30, 2022. He was born on January 18, 1934.
Alvin was preceded in death by his parents James and Mary Jones and five older siblings.
Alvin is survived by his loving, faithful wife of 67 years, Barbara Renfro Jones; daughter, Vicki Hazel (Charles); son, Keith (Anna); daughter, Dee Fearneyhough (Paul); and son, Tony. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. He doted on all of them and they all adored him.
Alvin retired after 37 years at General Electric Appliance Park. He was a long-time member of Green Acres Baptist Church where he served as a deacon, Sunday School teacher, youth volunteer and in pastoral care. Alvin was known by all as a kind and gentle man of faith.
Visitation will be Friday, August 5th, 2022 at Highlands Funeral Home from 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm. The service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, August 6th, 2022.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Green Acres Baptist Church, 5189 Poplar Level Road, Louisville, KY 40219.
