Charles J. Merrick, 94, passed away on Thursday June 9, 2022, in Louisville, KY. He was born on April 21, 1928. Charles was a graduate of Male High School. He was in the Marine Corps and participated in the Occupation of China. After a successful career at Fetter Printing Co., Charles co-founded Merrick Printing Co. with his brother, Fred.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 74 years, Thelma Rose, and his daughter, Diana Davies. He is survived by daughter, Pam Farmer (Richard), son, Don (Helen), daughter, Terri Pearman (Wes), and daughter, Marie Merkley (Joe).

Charles was known as “Paw” to his 13 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather to his family. He was loved and admired by many.

Visitation will be from 10 -11 am on Wednesday, June 15, with a memorial service at 11 am at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road, Louisville, KY.
