Obituary for Clarice Witt Willbanks (Stayton)
Clarice (Stayton) Willbanks, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on January 3, 2023, to be with Jesus and all the loved ones who graciously awaited her in heaven.
Clarice also known as Clara, Mom, and Granny, was born on July 1, 1945 in Louisville, KY. She was married to Harry Willbanks, who preceded her in death. They had 2 daughters, Connie (David) and Tammy (Steve); and 3 sons, Billy (Florence), Michael (Chrissy), and Christopher (Kathy). She had 9 grandchildren, (Amber, Matthew, Ashley, Andrew, Nikki, Conner, Josh, Bradley, and Felicia). Clara had 13 great-grandchildren (Sydney, Landon, Caleb, Lexi, Kenzie, Lilly, Alex, Hudson, Myla, Easton, Leo and Jaxen).
She was a loving mother who always put her children first. She worked at St. Xavier High School, and enjoyed working with the students.
She was preceded in death by her husband, mother and father; and all of her brothers and a sister. May she rejoice in heaven with her loved ones.
Visitation will be Monday, January 9th from 2 pm - 8 pm at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd. Her funeral service will be 11am, Tuesday, January 10th, at the funeral home, with burial to follow at Cave Hill Cemetery.
