Obituary for Clinton Lawrence Harper

Clinton Lawrence Harper (Clinton Leon Raley), 69, of Salem, IN, died August 13, 2020.

He was born in Louisville, KY on December 16, 1950. He was educated at St. Xavier High School and University of Louisville, J.B. Speed School of Engineering, receiving a National Honor in Industrial Engineering from Alpha Pi Mu.

He was employed as a Police officer with Jefferson County (KY) Police Department and as an Engineer with General Electric Appliance Park and the United States Postal Service. He belonged to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Clinton is survived by his wife, Judy Lynn Harper (Salem, IN); father, Charles M. Harper (Louisville, KY); sister, Barbara June Raley; children, James (CA) and Mary (TX), and grandchildren, Caiden and Spencer.

He was predeceased by his birth father Leon B. Raley; mother, Marcella Jean McGuffin Harper, and sister, Michele L. Raley.

His funeral will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd. with burial at Cave Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Highlands.
