Connie C. Renfrow, an angel on Earth, passed away peacefully in her home Sunday, Dec. 20 surrounded by her loved ones and beloved dogs. She was born Aug. 3, 1948 in Springfield, KY, where she grew up and attended Maud School, and later graduated in the final class of Springfield High School.
A natural caretaker and mother to all, she attended nursing school at Jefferson Community College to become an RN in 1977, and worked labor and delivery at Audubon hospital, later retiring from Caretenders.
Connie is preceded in death by her beloved son Christopher Renfrow, and parents George and Luella Christerson, for which she will rejoin in paradise.
She is survived by her husband Roy Renfrow, her two brothers, Mike Christerson and Brad Christerson, and two sisters, Kim Singleton and Geoffrey McWhorter, all of Springfield. And by her son David Renfrow, grandchildren John Thomas Renfrow, Eloise Renfrow, Aidan Renfrow, Aislynn Renfrow, daughter-in-law Ami Renfrow, and her favorite dogs Bear and Belle. She was commonly known as the Finder, by her grandson John.
Services will be held at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd, on Tuesday, Dec. 29. Visitation will be from noon to 4 p.m., with the funeral service to begin at 4. Masks are required.
She will be buried by request privately at Veteran’s Cemetery in Radcliff, KY. There was never a soul so caring, gentle, loving, faithful and accessible. She will truly be missed like none other.
