Obituary for Danny Barnett
Danny William Barnett went home to Jesus on May 25th, 2023 at age 59.
Danny was born to Jack William Barnett and Margaret Pearl Hodge Barnett on September 01, 1963 in Louisville, Kentucky.
Danny was a proud resident of Louisville, a member of Southeast Christian Church, and was a dedicated and beloved history teacher at Spencer County Schools for over 20 years.
Throughout his entire life, he held an unwavering faith in God, which he shared with those who surrounded him.
Danny joins his mom, Margaret Pearl, and sister, Brenda Bevars, in Heaven.
Danny is survived by his wife and best friend, Laura Lynn Barnett; his son, Logan Mullins; his father, Jack Barnett; his brothers, Bobby and Mike Barnett; and his sisters, Linda Richardson (Bryon) and Janet Sauer (Jeff).
In addition to being a dedicated and loving husband, son, brother, and father, he was adored as a stepfather to his three stepchildren, Papa Dan to all of his grandchildren, and uncle to all his nieces and nephews.
While this is the end of Danny’s physical life on Earth and his absence missed by many, it’s the beginning of an eternal and beautiful journey for him.
Visitation will be from 2 - 8 P.M. Thursday, June 1st, 2023 at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road, and 9 - 11 A.M. Friday, June 2nd, 2023 at Southeast Christian’s Chapel in the Woods, 1407 Moser Road.
The funeral service will be held at 11 A.M. Friday, June 2nd, 2023 at Chapel in the Woods, followed by burial at Cave Hill Cemetery.
Expressions of sympathy can be sent to Highlands Funeral Home or a contribution in memory of Danny can be made to the Kentucky Humane Society.
