Obituary for David Allen Allgood

ALLGOOD, DAVID ALLEN, 72, of Louisville, passed away on October 17, 2010.
A native of Eddyville, KY, he was an Air Force veteran and a retired maintenance supervisor for the former Bell South. He was a member and finance officer of the American Legion Iroquois Post # 229, a KHSAA referee and an avid University of Kentucky fan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Eddith Allgood; and brother, Lou Allgood.
David was a loving husband, a wonderful father, loving brother, caring grandfather and great-grandfather and a strong uncle to his family.
He is survived by his wife, the former Barbara Schork; sons, Paul Allgood, Jim Allgood (Paula), David Allgood (Lisa); daughter, Cathy Murphy (Tim); stepchildren, Tim Nash (Beth), Tammy Nash, Barbara Jean Nash; sister, Paulette Thomas and Nell Benson; grandchildren, Amy Nace, Mackenzie Murphy, Aaron Terry, Ashley Goodman (Brian), Molly and Cameron Allgood and Emily and Jennifer Nash; great-grandchildren, Payten Goodman, Ireland and Adonis Terry.
His funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, October 21, 2010 at Guardian Angels Catholic Church, 6000 Preston Hwy., with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Wednesday at Highlands Family-Owned Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to the National Kidney Foundation of Kentucky or Kentucky Spinal Cord and Head Injury Trust Fund.
