Obituary for David Lee Gordon
David L. Gordon, 72, passed away Sunday, March 6, 2022, surrounded by his daughters.
He is survived by his wife, Claudia; daughters, Anna Ruth Parker (Ross Heichelbech) and Katie Blair (Michael); granddaughter, Hope Parker; sisters, Kathy Ridge (Bill) and Lee Ann Gordon; nephew, Patrick Ridge (Sarah); great nephew, Theo; and friend, Julie Kramer (Kevin).
He was an Eagle Scout with Troop 198, attended St. Xavier High School and was a graduate of the University of Louisville Speed Scientific School with a Masters in Chemical Engineering.
David was employed for 30 years at Brown & Williamson both in Louisville, KY and Macon, GA. He was an avid horse racing fan enjoying many Kentucky Derby races at Churchill Downs, where he was a Turf Club member. David was a longtime University of Louisville football and basketball fan and loved to travel.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Anna Lee Gordon, and Robert D. Gordon
Visitation will be 2pm-7pm Thursday at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road. Funeral Service will be 11am Friday at the funeral home, followed by burial at St. Michael Cemetery.
