Obituary for David A. Kremer

David (Dave) Alan Kremer, 63, passed away on June 5th, 2023. He was born on October 21, 1959, in Louisville, Kentucky. Dave was the youngest of Fred and Marie Kremer’s six children.

Dave attended St. Stephen Martyr and St. Xavier High School. His love of cars led him to become a Snap-On Tools dealer. He was a franchise owner for 35 years and retired in 2019.

Dave loved the outdoors and spent many weekends at the lake. He loved to fish and always allowed the kids to reel the fish in.

Dave loved to run and was known as the ‘tux man’ at the KDF Mini Marathon. In 1982, Dave married Sharron O’Shea the day before the Mini. He ran the next day in his wedding tux and kept the tradition for over 30 years. His son, Colin, has carried on that tradition for him.

Dave was known for his generous spirit and passion for life. He was a man that could not stay still. He was constantly fixing things around the house and gardening, especially roses. He loved a project.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Marie Kremer and his sister Sharon M Kremer. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Sharron Kremer. His children, Amanda Biven (Sean) and Colin Kremer (Taryn).

His siblings; Barbara Schmall (Eric), Joseph Kremer (Kathy), Ruby Star and Kay Elmore (Mike). His sister-in-law, Shannon Price (William). His bother-in-law, Michael O’Shea. Nieces and nephews; Keith Abel, Anna Pray (Marty), Peter Kremer (Kelly), Kirsten Armstrong (Will), Diane Hodges (Kirt), Levi Star (Sara), Mae Orm, Lisa Smith, Morgan Price and Kaitlin Price. Great nieces and nephews; Alex Pray, Marilyn Pray, Luke Pray, Katy Armstrong, Rory Armstrong, Everly Hodges, Wiley Hodges, Madelyn Kremer, Zach Kremer, Jake Kremer, Nora Kremer, Mason Orm and Nolan Orm. Grand pets; Alfred, Annie, Mando and Ruth.

Visitation will be 2-8pm on June 8th at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road. The funeral Mass will be June 9th at 10am at Ascension Catholic Church, 4600 Lynnbrook Drive, 40220. Burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery.
