Obituary for Dennis Wayne Simmons
Dennis Wayne Simmons, 74 of Louisville, Kentucky/El Jobean, Florida passed away peacefully at his home in Louisville on Sunday, July 3rd, 2022 with family by his side (Sue and Earl Jones).
Dennis was born on August 3rd, 1947 to his parents Alfred and Lora Mae Simmons. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Lora Mae; sister, Patricia Meece; brother, Glenn Ray Burnett; mother-in-law, Betty Bennett; and brother-in-law, Steven Abby.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Mary Lou Bennet Simmons; sisters, Rita Broyles and Loretta Burnett; brothers, Ronald Burnett and Rodney Burnett (Kathy Burnett); sisters-in-law, Sue Jones (Earl Jones) and Donna Abby; and a host of nieces and nephews, and many loving family and friends.
His service will be held at 6:30 p.m. July 10th, 2022 at Highlands Family Owned Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road, Louisville, Kentucky. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. Expressions of sympathy made be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital in memory of Dennis.
