Obituary for Dolly Jane Polk
Dolly Jane Polk, 88, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 21, 2021, surrounded by her family.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Vinnie Sidebottom; brothers, Harry and Jack Polk; sisters, Norma Zasadzinski and Betty Polk; and nephew, Christopher Polk.
Dolly was a native of Taylorsville, KY, and worked for many years as a bookkeeper at Will Sales and Hatfield Jewelers. She loved gardening and spending time with her great niece and nephews, and was the family photographer and historian.
She is survived by her nieces, Patty Wight (Terry), Jeannie Zasadzinski, Angie Kordis (Mark), and Martha Clark (Chris Polk); nephews, William Polk (Heather), Jeffrey Polk (Andrea), Charles Polk (Tina), Joe Zasadzinki, and Tom Zasadzinski (Debra); great-nephews, Josh and Andrew; and great-nieces, Jaclyn and Jillian.
Funeral service will be at 2:00pm on Thursday, May 27, 2021, at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd, with interment to follow in Highland Memory Gardens in Mt. Washington. Visitation will also be on Thursday from 1:00pm until the time of service.
