Condolence From: John Theodore Thom
Condolence: My condolences to Don and family. It was through his genealogical efforts that I and my family came to know our roots in the Thom family. I will always be grateful for him sharing that knowledge. I appreciate his involvement with the Boy Scouts as I, too have been involved having become an Eagle Scout in my youth, a District Executive in the Samoset Council and a local volunteer when my son was young. The Boy Scouts have lost a great leader and mentor in Don. May the embers of his campfire glow eternally.

Condolence From: Ronald J. Doerr
Condolence: I knew Don in the 1950's when I was active in the Boy Scouts and in the Order of the Arrow. He always provided the leadership and assistance required for boys to become responsible men. I was fortunate to work closely with him when I was Chief of the Zit Kala Sha Lodge of the OA in 1957. I am one of many OA members that are sadden by his passing. WWW
