Obituary for Donald R. Weikel Sr.
Donald R. Weikel, Sr., 84 of Louisville, passed away August 3, 2020 at Norton Brownsboro Hospital. He was born April 9, 1936 in Jefferson County, Kentucky to the late Raymond E. and Patricia A. Burns Weikel.
He graduated from Manual High School, was a 32nd degree Mason, Kentucky Colonel, and an avid golfer. He retired from Standard Gravure after 38 years of service as a Director of Purchasing.
Survivors include his loving wife of 60 years, Dorothy Elliott Weikel; a son, Donald R. Weikel, Jr. (Tonya); a daughter, Elizabeth "Beth" Strobel (Rick); and grandchildren, Hillary Weikel, Caroline Weikel, and Jason Strobel.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, August 10, 2020 at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road, Louisville, Ky 40205. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00-8:00 p.m., Sunday, August 9, 2020 at Highlands Funeral Home.
