Obituary for Donna Sue Glassner Vest
Donna Sue Glassner Vest, 64, was chosen on Saturday, June 9, 2018 to be heaven’s newest angel. She made her transition from her earthly home into the palm of God’s hands with the grace and dignity that defined her entire life.
She was born March 18, 1954 to the late Edward and Mary Glassner. Donna was a graduate of Ursuline Academy, Norton’s School of Nursing, and U of L. She worked as an R.N. at Norton Healthcare and was a member of Southeast Christian Church. Donna was a giver, a counselor, and a great listener.
She is survived by her siblings, George Glassner (Debbie), Denis Glassner (Janet), Linda Vance, Pat Bridges (Roy “Buddy”), Vic Glassner (Barbra); 10 nieces and nephews; 21 great-nieces and great-nephews, and a host of other family and friends.
The family would like to thank Donna’s care givers, Heather, Tina, Mindy, JoAnn, and Natalie for their dedication and loving care.
Her funeral service will be at 12:00 p.m. Thursday, June 14, 2018 at Southeast Christian Church, 920 Blankenbaker Pkwy. with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2:00 - 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd. and on Thursday from 10:00 a.m until the time of her service at Southeast Christian Church.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to Hosparus of Louisville.
