Obituary for Dr. Elisa Jane Millett (Pape)
Dr. Elisa Pape Millett, DMD, age 54, of Crestwood passed away Friday evening August 12, 2022 after a long and difficult struggle with both Sarcoma and Cholangiocarcinoma cancer.
Elisa is a 1986 graduate of Seneca High School and a 1990 grad from Transylvania University in Lexington, KY. She graduated from the U of L School of Dentistry in 1994 and completed a three-year residency in periodontics from the University of Alabama Birmingham in 1997. She practiced in the Fern Creek area of Louisville for 25 years as a board-certified periodontist.
She is survived by her loving husband Phil, sons Andy and Will of Crestwood, KY, her mother, Jane Jonczy of Louisville, and her sisters Emily Sibley of Crestwood, and Ann Pendley of Buffalo, NY.
As a board-certified periodontist, she was well liked and widely known throughout the great Louisville area and the U of L School of Dentistry. She was highly involved with both the Louisville Ice Cardinals Youth Hockey Club and the Trinity HS Hockey team as both a team manager and member of the board of directors for many years. She also served as an adult leader for the Boy Scouts and Troop 153 of LaGrange, KY. She loved camping and helping the young people experience the many leadership opportunities the Scouts provide. Both her boys attained the rank of Eagle Scout.
A celebration of life and visitation will take place from 1-3 pm, followed by a short memorial service Saturday August 27 at Highlands Funeral home 3331 Taylorsville Rd. Elisa was cremated and further burial arrangements are to be determined.
