Beloved husband, father and friend, Drew Richard Duncan passed away on April 23rd, 2022, surrounded by his loved ones.
Born in Bedford, Indiana to proud parents Dolores ‘Dottie’ and Richard ‘Dick’ Duncan on August 15th, 1959. Drew was a proud graduate of Purdue University, Class of ’84. He was an accomplished musician, decorated Boy Scout Master and dedicated long-time employee of Brown-Forman.
Drew loved spending time in the great outdoors, whether golfing, fishing, camping, boating or gardening.
True to his zodiac sign of Leo (Lion) he embodied the characteristics of living life to the fullest with a joyous, positive outlook on life. He was adventurous, ambitious and sociable. Drew loved to travel and never met a stranger. His pride and confidence in others had a positive impact on everyone he met. He truly lived by the Boy Scout code of “leave it better than you found it”. He touched so many people’s hearts and left this world better than he found it.
Drew had an unwavering faith in God and was a faithful member of Beargrass Christian Church.
Drew is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Lisa; children, Katie (Jeremy), Jacob (Lauren) and Emily. Drew was a proud Grandfather to Judah and Violet.
A church service will be held at Beargrass Christian Church (4100 Shelbyville Road, Louisville, KY 40207) at 3pm on Thursday, April 28th, 2022. A Celebration of Life will take place following the service from 4pm-7pm at The Manhattan Project (2101 Frankfort Avenue, Louisville, KY 40206).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Drew’s honor to Beargrass Christian Church or Waterfront Botanical Gardens.
