Earl Frederick "Fred” Bielefeld, 78, passed away peacefully in his home on September 25, 2018.
Fred attended Flaget High School, was in the United States Navy (on the USS Denebola AF 56), and then worked for and retired from Naval Ordinance.
He was a member of St. Louis Bertrand Catholic Church.
Fred was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Leona Bielefeld, his sister, Linda Brownell, and Sister in law, Rosie Bielefeld.
He is survived his wife, Kathy Bielefeld, his children, Chris (Dina) Bielefeld, Angela (Steve) Morrison, Terri (Paul) Luckett, and Jennifer (Doug) Powers;
Step children Tom Sondergeld, Kim (Jim) Justice, Cherie Wood, Chuck (Patti) Sondergeld, and Brenda (Scott) McClure.
His brothers Joe Bielefeld, Eugene (Janet) Bielefeld, Dennis (Nita) Bielefeld, his sisters Nancy (Bill) Mullany, Mary Ann (Ken) Dickerson, Becky (Sam) Frizzell.
Brother in Law Larry (Terri) Hainline and SIsters in law Susie (Keith) Hancock, Louise McKinstry and Alice Hainline.

20 Grandkids, and 8 Great Grandkids (with 2 on the way), whom he loved dearly, especially when he told them stories or played pranks on them.
A host of nieces and nephews, and many close friends.
Fred’s “Man’s Best Friend”, his devoted dog Lucky.
Our family wishes to thank Hosparus, especially Amber and Brandy, who faithfully visited and helped with Fred’s care.
Visitation will be Sunday, September 30 from 1:00 - 8:00pm at Highlands Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be at 9:30 at St. Louis Bertrand on Monday, October 1st.
