Born in Spencer County KY Eddy R. Whitaker Sr. passed away on 4 October 2018 at 11:50 am at the age of 92. Mr. Whitaker worked for the Ford Motor Company for 26 years and retired 1 January 1981 as the Senior Engineering Change Coordinator.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 65 years Rosetta B. Whitaker, parents Joe and Dexter Whitaker of Bloomfield, KY, sister Helen L. Swineford of Media, PA, son Eddy R. Whitaker Jr. of Louisville. Surviving family members include niece Linnie Berenato, Washington Crossing, PA, nephews Gordon Swineford, Tucson AZ, Carl H. Maupin Jr., Louisville, KY and Gary L. Maupin, Columbia Falls, MT.
Mr. Whitaker was a Master Freemason and Kosair Shriner.
Visitation will be at the Highland Funeral Home in Louisville from 2 pm to 7 pm on Wednesday, 10 October followed by a private interment at Resthaven Memorial Park on Thursday, 11 October.
