Elizabeth (Betty) Ann Hinkle Brewer

Betty passed away peacefully on June 3rd, 2022. She was born October 15, 1932 in Louisville to the late Henry Hinkle and Marguerite Sass Hinkle. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Jack Hinkle; and granddaughter, Shannon Brewer.

She is survived by her loving husband of 70 years, Gerald (Jerry); children, Diana Banks (Fred), Jim Brewer, Debbie Brewer, Mike Brewer (Nadine), Joe Brewer (Debbie), Donna Geralds (Les), Janet Sutherland, Jerry Brewer, Jr, (Nancy); 15 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren.

She was a graduate of Presentation Academy and a long time member of St. Leonard Parish. She was a wonderful creative resourceful mother to her 8 children. She enjoyed working with charitable organizations, entertaining and traveling. Betty was proud of her mission trip to Medugorje, supplies she gathered and sent to Appalachian families and her two "Mrs. Louisville" titles (1964, 1984). Her love, laugh, style and zest for life will be missed.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m., Thursday June 9th, followed by a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd, 40205.

She will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery (private family service).

A celebration of life will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, gifts can be made to Wayside Christian Mission, PO Box 7249, Louisville, KY 40257; TAPS ( Veterans support program) @ TAPS.org, or the charity of
your choice.
