Obituary for Elizabeth Church
Elizabeth Josephine Church, age 85, died on Monday, February 26, 2024.
Born in Corydon, IN, to the late Charles and Mary (Shireman) Seng, she was a retired Senior Master Sergeant with the KY Air National Guard. She was the owner of Bill Church and All Pro Painting and was a member and treasurer for many years at Kentucky Bluegrass 99’s (an International Organization of Women Pilots.)
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Augustus D. Church; a daughter, Elizabeth “Liz” Adkins and her husband, Eric; her sister, Mary Seng; her brother, Wayne Seng; and a grandson, Michael Hughes.
She is survived by her children, Charles Church (Kim), Kenneth Church, Richard Church (Hope); and Jeannette “Lee” Hughes (Danny); 12 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Elizabeth’s funeral service will be at 11 am on Monday, March 4, 2024 at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd., Louisville, 40205, with burial at a later date. Visitation will be from 12 noon – 5 pm Sunday and 10-11 am Monday at Highlands.
