Obituary for Elizabeth Ann "Betty" Conner
Elizabeth Ann “Betty” Conner, 89, passed away on Sunday, January 1, 2023, at Nazareth Home. Born on February 8th, 1933 in Evansville, IN, she was the daughter of the late Maurice and Martha Bosler.
Betty was raised in Louisville and a member of Holy Family Catholic Parish. She was a graduate of Mercy Academy, Class of 1950, and loved to get together with her classmates, when possible.
After high school, Betty married Frank Conner in 1956 and was a faithful and loving wife until his passing in 2006. She was a devoted homemaker and loved raising her five children, often taking road trips or going camping. Later in life, she was the best Granny or “Gran-Gran” anyone could ever imagine and selflessly cared for, read to, played with, and cooked for her many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her sweet and generous spirit and calm demeanor will be terribly missed by her family, friends and all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank M. Conner, sister, Martha Highfill and daughter, Patty Anderson.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Kathy Conner, Lisa Grundy (Steve), Jeff Conner and Martha Ernst (Bruce); and son-in-law, Larry Anderson; grandchildren, Sara, Justin, Shelly, Thomas, Eric, Scott, Stephanie, Destanie and Diane; and 10 great grandchildren.
Her visitation will be 3 pm to 7 pm on Friday, January 6th, at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd. Her funeral Mass will be at 10 am on Saturday, January 7th, at Holy Family Church, 3938 Poplar Level Rd., with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery.
