Obituary for Evelyn Belle Clark

Clark, Evelyn Belle (Fox), 87, passed away Saturday, June 16, 2012. She was born on February 3, 1925, in Daigo-machi, Japan, the daughter of now-deceased 41 year missionaries, Herman and Sarah (McGee) Fox. She was married on February 6, 1943, to Thomas Y. Clark, World War II veteran, and retired minister of 50 years.
Evelyn and Thomas were life-long Christians, serving in various churches in the Louisville Area, including the Buechel, Rowan St., Kentucky Ave., and Iroquois. Churches of Christ. They are currently members of the Buechel Church of Christ.
In addition to her parents, Evelyn was preceded in death by 2 brothers, William and Herman, Jr., and 1 sister, Elizabeth.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas Y.; 2 sisters, Martha and Geneva, and 1 brother, Paul.
She was a devoted Christian wife and homemaker of 69 years, and was the loving mother of 4 children, Thomas Clark (Alice), Sharon Lawyer (Lawrence), Patricia Long, and Stephen Clark (Katrina). She enjoyed 11 grandchildren, Christopher, Kimberly, Emily, Jennifer, Adam, Austin, Jonathan, Brandon, Stephanie, Kayla and Kyle; and 7 great-grandchildren, Rylen, Jace, Kendall, Brooklynn, Kenric, Adia, and Abel.
Her funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 20, 2012, at Highlands Family-Owned Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd. with entombment in Evergreen Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2:00 -8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Highlands.
