Evelyn Marie Hager Lindner
June 1, 1938- April 28, 2022
Born in Louisville, Evelyn was the third youngest of eight children. She befriended many people in her lifetime. Growing up near Churchill Downs, she attended Manual High School, left early and later earned her GED.
She worked at the old Ranch House Restaurant before meeting and marrying Guenther (who'd recently immigrated from Germany). Her life would allow her to travel to Germany/Europe many times, where she would visit family and friends, and made many memories. Evelyn was bilingual and was a member of the German/ American club for years.
As an avid sports fan, she would watch most any sport on TV, but her personal favorite was tennis; she played with many leagues throughout the years. She was also a former member of Jewish Community Center, and later became an employee.
Evelyn was a amateur artist who mainly enjoyed charcoal drawings and oil painting. She also enjoyed collectibles and spending time with her family and friends. As a breast cancer survivor, she also overcame numerous other health issues.
