Obituary for Frances Lee Cecil (Wright)
Frances Wright Cecil, August 4th, 1928 - January 25th, 2024.
Frances was born on August 4th, 1928, to the late William Wright and Alvine Lurding.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 54 years, James (Jim) Raymond Cecil; her son, Steven; and brother, William (Billy Joe).
Fran is survived by her daughter, Nancy Moody (Carol Byerley); granddaughter, Chelsea Crawford (Davis); grandson, Chadler Cecil Moody (Sydney Rofkahr) and sister, Sherry Keown (Nicky). She was a loving “MeMe” to her grandchildren.
A life long Louisvillian, Fran graduated from Shawnee Girls High School ( 1946). She retired from JCPenney Southland Terrace where she started the Fine Jewelry Department. Fran was a devoted friend to many and fostered deep friendships. Fran shared her wit, kindness, spontaneity and outgoing personality with everyone she touched. Fran was a proud and supporting mother and meme. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends and loyal companion Odie.
Visitation will be Saturday, February 3rd from 11:00am - 3:00pm, with her Funeral Service at 3:00 pm at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd.
