GALLAGHER, FRED WALTER, 71, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Friday, November 19, 2010.
He retired from Edgecomb Metals and was a member of the Masonic Lodge 850. He served in the United States Navy from 1956 1960, volunteered for Highview Fire Dept. for many years and was an avid animal lover. Preceding him in death were his parents, Grace C. and Fred W. Gallagher Sr.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Patricia Louise Beckmann; children, Paul Anthony (Lori) and Kimberly Ann Loyless (Jeffrey); six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. In addition to being a wonderful husband and Dad, he will be missed by many.
His funeral service will be at noon Monday, November 22, 2010 at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road, with burial in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 2 8 p.m. Sunday and from 10 a.m. until time of service on Monday at Highlands.
