Obituary for Geneva "Genny" (Crawford) Richardson
Geneva “Genny” (Crawford) Richardson, 87, of Louisville, returned to her Heavenly Father on Sunday, February 12, 2023.
Born in Louisville to the late Susie and Gabriel Crawford, she was a graduate of Presentation Academy and a longtime member of St. Martha Catholic Church. She was a retired employee of the University of Louisville, a member of the Buechel Womens Club, an officer of the Homemakers Club, and an avid member of the "Dingalings."
In addition to her parents, Genny was preceded in death by her husband, Flournoy "Rich" Richardson, Jr.; and her sister, Cleo Leonhardt.
She is survived by her three daughters, Susan Wheat (Dennis), Leslie Burch (Mickey), and Karen Karem (Don); her brother, Gabe "Junie" Crawford, Jr.; her grandchildren, Dominic, Daniel, and David Karem and Jeremy, Rachael, and Justin Burch; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Her funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 18, 2023 at St. Martha Catholic Church, 2825 Klondike Ln., with burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 - 8 p.m. Friday at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd. 40205.
