Obituary for George RIETZE

0RIETZE, George RIETZE, George Cummins, 89, of Louisville passed away Thursday, January 7, 2010, at Baptist Hospital East. He was a veteran of WWII, serving as a pilot in the Army Air Corps. He was a retired self-employed Realtor. George was the past president of the Louisville Board of Realtors. He was a 40-year member of the Kiwanis Club. He served as Lt. Governor of the District and president of his local club. He volunteered for the Salvation Army and Wayside Christian Mission, and was also a member of St. Matthews United Methodist Church for over 50 years. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, the former Rose M. Stroud; son, Barry Rietze (Carol); daughter, Anna Burns (Pat); four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. His memorial service will be Noon, Monday, January 11, at St. Matthews United Methodist Church, 319 Browns Ln. with visitation to follow immediately at the church. Burial will be at a later date.
